Glocal Partnerships: :Locally Global

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts

This is the goal of McElroy Translation’s Glocal Partnership program. We form symbiotic alliances to develop mutually beneficial opportunities geographically, technologically, and operationally. Before committing to a partnership, we ensure that the relationship will advance both parties strategic objectives, long-term goals, and cultural commitments.

Our Glocal Partnership program includes partners in three distinct groups:

• Glocal Technology Partners. Our Glocal Technology partners are innovative companies developing the next generation of technology in the translation and localization market. McElroy works with companies that either extend our reach through connectivity or that use technology to expand the market for translation. The technologies are either packaged with our translation expertise as service offerings or are resold to end clients.


• Glocal Service Partners. We work with our Glocal Service partners to develop complementary service offerings for end customers. The combined service offerings leverage the expertise of each partner, thereby providing customers with a best-of-breed solution. The types of services we package with our partners include OCR processing/cleanup, localization testing, project management centers, and software internationalization.


• Glocal Language Partners. McElroy’s Glocal Language partners are single-language or regional-language experts and are located in the highest growth areas for language services. We work with our Glocal Language partners to respond to large translation requests quickly and efficiently. For example, if a major client needs 15 Spanish translators at a moment’s notice, we can turn to a Glocal Language partner to fulfill that need. This extends the capacity of McElroy and its partner, simplifies editing, and ensures regional quality control. It’s a win-win-win for the customer, our partner, and McElroy.

We have already signed Glocal Technology Partnership agreements with Asia Online and Clay Tablet Technologies, and are in the process of joint business development planning with both of them.
